Used my experience as an attendee of the EDGE Leadership Seminar (2019) to help engage and relate to current sophomores. Helped brainstorm general planning meetings for the entire EDGE 2021 Leadership Seminar (with both 2021 sophomores and 2020 sophomores).

Alameda Community Learning Center, Alameda CA -- Teacher's Assistant

Assisted Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Social Studies, and (briefly) Pre-Calculus Facilitators. In some classes (Physics, Pre-Calc), I took class notes and helped lead some class discussions, as well as participating in class and answering questions. In all classes, I helped organize class materials, grade assignments, and prototype assignments. 

Alameda Unified School District, Alameda CA -- Summer School Volunteer

July 2018 - August 2018

Acted as a Summer School Volunteer for Special Education elementary students. Helped in the Nurse's Office, Math classes, and Recess, facilitating positive interaction and fun activities. Organized Summer Carnival.

  • Robotics: Led and helped ACLC PiE Robotics to win awards: 2nd Place (Fall 2019), Coding Implementation Award (Spring 2020), Thunderbolt Award (Spring 2020), Whimsical Award (Fall 2020)

  • Science: Spent roughly 190 hours on a science fair project, earning 4th place in ACSEF with my first experience in Artificial Intelligence, a robot that could "read" the ASL alphabet in "real time"

  • Community Service: Logged nearly 175 hours of community service in 3 years
